Greater Project 4 Annual Report 2010
Some points of interest:
This branch held its 2nd inter-school spelling bee contest last February. This event was participated by 3 public elementary schools.
Computer tutorials was made available to the community starting August.
The branch held a variety of activities: from storytelling sessions, puppet shows, library orientations to music lessons.
It was able to hold 72 activities and reached more than 4,500 persons in the activities alone.
Most used resources of this branch are the newspapers, internet access, language and literature.
This branch average 28 users daily. Most users come from high school student age group. Only a few come from toddler's group.
The library have a generous collection of 4,179 books, but this collection should be continuously updated.
The staff attended the following trainings: Report Making, Openbiblio Encoding, Indexing, Libreng Tutorial Module, and Purpose Driven Life Seminar.
The library needs additional ventilation, funds for maintenance since this branch is very big (2 rooms). It is suggested that additional 5 units of computers and wireless router be added.
A promotional program must be put into place in order to attract toddlers, parents and senior citizens into the library.
Library card applications decreased, from 151 in 2009 to 47 this 2010. It should increase since it is needed in use of library computers.
Greater Project 4 library is also assisted by Progresibong Edukasyon Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran. This branch is being supervised by Art Lagrimas and assisted by Robert Mimura and Anthony Corpuz.
