Novaliches Annual Report 2010






Novaliches Branch have an average users of 200 per day. July and August are the busiest months.

The average users per day and total for the year for this branch is even higher that the Main Library.

This library is very aggressive in promoting the library services. It has done numerous storytelling and library orientations.

It was able to do 37 storytelling sessions, reaching to 703 children.

It has a total collection of 6,799 volumes. The branch encoded 3,275 new books and their Openbiblio database is always updated.

Materials most consulted are Internet and Newspapers. For books, most used materials come from Generalities and Geography. Majority of the users come from college age group followed by high school age group.

Notable activities that happened in the library are the following: the Moli or Mobile Library launching in cooperation with the Office of Councilor Medalla; Library Renewal Program project of Vice Mayor Belmonte with generous partners; Araw ng Pagbasa.

The library received 5 donated computers and 20,000 additional books.

The library started their own Libreng Computer Tutorial last August 2010.

The library staff attended trainings with the following topic: Sexual Harassment; Indexing; Libreng Computer Tutorial Training; Values Formation; Dianetics; Purpose Driven Life.

The library is being supervised by Fe Gomez and her staff of 9 people.
